What's going on?

It's been awfully quiet around here! In truth though, Imago Dei has been making some noise (video evidence below). It has been a great two months since the last post - we're off to an exciting start! Our enthusiastic group has been sharing each other's art, music, and insight.

Imago Dei Society's First Meeting
We have also been enjoying films such as For Greater Glory and Vision that have deepened our understanding of our Catholic Faith. These films also showed us how to bring evangelization into the world of film. They are both highly recommended!

And that is not all. As promised, here is video evidence of the Imago Dei Society bringing beautiful noise to a local open mic. Enjoy!

Look Out World, Here We Come!

They say 'good things come to those who wait' and it is not hard to see that born out in many areas of our lives. While trying to launch this group we have seen it in a big way. And you may not have known you were waiting for it but this unique group, the Imago Dei Society, has been three years in the making. This has been a time of maturing, growth and inspiration for us while we have waited for the Holy Spirit to lead. Now the time has come and we are happy to announce that our very first meeting is to take place on May 31, 2012! It is a significant day as it is also the Feast of the Visitation when Our Lady, bearing the Christ Child, went to assist her cousin Elizabeth. At hearing Mary's voice John the Baptist leapt for the joy of being so near to Our Savior. How perfectly this coincides with our mission! We feel strongly that it is also through art and culture that we can bring Jesus Christ, true joy of all men, to others. If you feel the same way, please join us on Thursday, May 31 at 7p.m. at Tibby's New Orleans Kitchen in Winter Park, FL. We look forward to seeing you there!
